Summerside, Prince Edward Island

Location

The N-Viro plant is on the Summerside Wastewater Treatment Plant site.  This is a smaller plant serving a population equivalent of approximately 40,000 (12,000 City population and a dairy products operation).  The N-Viro plant has been producing product since January 2008.

WWTP

The City of Summerside has recently completed the rebuilding of their wastewater treatment plant.  The new process is conventional primary/secondary treatment.  Fournier Presses located in the biosolids area yield biosolids cake at 30% total solids.

Product

Approximately 4,000 tonnes of N-Viro Soil Amendment is produced and used at City owned facilities.
